Q:Do you keep stock of all the products in your ranges?
A:We aim to maintain high stock levels in order to meet customer demands and can usually supply orders ex stock. Some of the items are however, made to order by the factories and may result in a delay.
 
Q:Do you charge for delivery?
A:We offer free delivery in the Durban and Johannesburg areas. Courier costs for deliveries outside of these areas are usually for the customers account.
 
Q:How long after ordering will the goods be delivered?
A:Delivery is usually within 24 hours for the Durban and Johannesburg areas. Other destinations are subject to courier schedules.
 
Q:Is the Lemaitre safety footwear range imported?
A:No, Lemaitre safety footwear is manufactured under license in Port Elizabeth, South Africa.
 
Q:Is Rebel Safety Gear SABS certified?
A:No, Rebel safety boots and safety shoes are European Standard EN 345-SI certified. There is opinion that this specification is as good as, or better than the local SABS criteria for testing safety footwear.
 
Q:Does Treadsafe cc supply Frams?
A:Certain styles of Frams are available on request. (Inyathi rubber heat resistant sole, Yelloz, Bluz)
 
Q:Do you manufacture or supply the Tredsafe range of safety footwear that is sold at Wal-mart?
A:No, we are Treadsafe cc, a South African Company which distributes leading brands of safety footwear. We do NOT manufacture or supply the Tredsafe range of safety footwear that was apparently until recently sold by Wal-mart. Nor are we in any way associated with the manufacturer or supplier of the Tredsafe brand of safety footwear. Unfortunately we do not have any contact details for the company that manufactures the Tredsafe Brand of safety footwear.
 
Q:What is a Safety shoe and how does it keep your footsafe?
A:The basic feature of a safety shoe is a shoe that has a Steel Toe Cap. This is to provide impact protection for the toe area. An all leather upper can help keep your footsafe from hazardous chemical spills and an oil and acid resistant sole protects your feet when walking on a variety of different workplace surfaces. A polyurethane sole with a steel mid sole can give you slip resistance and penetration protection thereby keeping your footsafe.
 
Q:How long should my safety shoes last?
A:Generally, the manufacturers will say that the average life span of a pair of safety shoes is a year, depending on your work environment and personal wear & tear. If you polish your safety shoes and look after them, they will look after you.
 
Q:What kind of guarantee does your safety footwear carry?
A:In most cases, the manufacturers (Lemaitre, Bova (Beier Industries), Frams, Euro Safety, Rebel safetygear, DOT) offer a 3 month factory guarantee. If, however you encounter a manufacturing problem after this time, you are welcome to bring the product back to Treadsafe where we will assess it and let you know whether it is still possible to credit, exchange or repair your safety footwear. Unfortunately we do not offer trade-ins.
 
Q:Do you have Credit Card / Debit Card facilities?
A:At this stage, unfortunately not.
 
Q:Are you open on Saturdays?
A:We work hard Monday to Friday and take a well deserved break on the weekend. Monday - Thur 7:30am - 4:30pm Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm
